They say the quiet ones are the ones to watch, and this is certainly true of our Gary! Originally from Cheam in Surrey, Gary at the age of 50, is our serious Mobster.

Married to Sue (who is very understanding!) and with two children, Grant 24, and Charley 23.

Gary moved to Tenerife where the family has lived for the last 20 years. However, for the past Two years work commitments have meant that Gary has spent most of his time away from his home in Tenerife, and is currently living in Marbella.

Having played poker for 15 years and Texas Hold Em for the last Ten, Gary is a highly proficient player with an impressive record. As a child, Gary loved playing cards and board games – in fact the whole family regularly played old favourites such as Brag, Rummy and Trumps, Cluedo, Monopoly and Scrabble. Gary is also a dab hand at the more challenging games of chess and backgammon.

Gary´s introduction to poker was a natural progression from playing kalooki. Having a natural affinity and talent for poker Gary really connected with the game and as his skills increased he began to play within his circle of friends for big money before taking the next step of entering tournaments including the World Heads Up in Barcelona.

After moving to Spain from Tenerife with his work, Gary soon relieved the boredom of the evenings apart from his family by playing more poker. Gary says “for me, it´s become a great social event which ensures I have at least a couple of decent meals each week!”

Just like the other Mobsters, Gary would love to play the World Series in Vegas. Currently, work commitments limit his playing time but as Gary rather determinedly adds, where there´s a will there´s a way! Along with his family, Football and playing poker are Gary´s only interest's – a hobby which has come to mean so much more.

This fantastic game has brought Gary lasting friendships and a great lifestyle of which he relishes every moment!
